Why play golf in Marrakech?

I have now played out there over five times in the last couple of years and the question should be….why not! The weather is perfect, the backdrop of the Atlas mountains is stunning and many of the golf courses out there have started to mature and are being kept in really top condition. My pick of the courses ranges from historic to different to two of the best courses in Africa. Here is the perfect way to sample the best….straight off the plane and after five minutes in one of our luxury cars get the swing going around this desert style , Montgomerie designed  beauty while your bags are being dropped off at your hotel. Day two take in a bit of history at Royal Golf Marrakech and follow in the footsteps of Churchill and Eisenhower around this tree lined , oldest course in Morocco. Day three and hopefully you are starting to play well so take on an orchard and desert style course with reflection pools, cascades, basins and bell towers not to mention unconventional greens at the wonderful Noria. Now the golf is getting serious and I suggest you tackle Samanah which is a Nicklaus designed desert style stunner….had enough ? I hope not as next up is Palm Ourika which lies as 6232m off the whites with rolling fairways protected by large sandy waste bunkers. Don’t stay out too late as you want to be in top form to finish the trip and play Assoufid where Niall Cameron knocked the ball out of the park designing this one…..what a trip !!!!
